Currently there is very easy GUI management tool for link with bluetooth device, you can share internet, file sharing easily.
To install blueman,
http://www.ubuntugeek.com/blueman-bluetooth-manager-for-ubuntu.html
If you want to access internet from bluetooth devices, follow the concept below:
1. Install blueman
2. Pair with mobile phone
3. Configure at your mobile phone to become bluetooth modem.
4. Right click the mobile phone in blueman, choose serial port -> dial up services
5. A modem /dev/rfcomm0 will setup in you Ubuntu
6. Install gnome-ppp (dial up manager for gnome)
7. Run gnome-ppp as root, create new connection with modem=/dev/rfcomm0
8. Remember the number shall be *99#, user i simply type 'celcom' and password='wap', I dunno whether it is correct or not but it work for me.
* I run Ubuntu Linux 9.04 32bit |
